Port Blair, Mar. 5: The Department of Art & Culture, A&N Administration will be organizing an evening dedicated to traditional folk songs that celebrate the spirit of the ensuing Holi -the Festival of Colours. The programme will be organized on 7th March, 2024 from 6 pm onwards at Andaman Club, Port Blair. Immerse yourself in the vibrant colors and soulful melodies of Faag -Holi folk songs.

Port Blair, Mar. 5: Firing practice will be carried out by Aircraft on Mar. 6, 13, 20 and 27 from 2 pm to 4 pm. All concerned have been warned to keep themselves and their vehicle/livestock away from the firing range during the mentioned date and time, a notification issued by DM (SA) said.

Port Blair, Mar. 5: A Hindi Workshop was organized today at the Training Centre, Official Language Department for the newly appointed Lower Grade Clerks of Secretariat. This workshop was presided over by the Assistant Director (OL) I/c, Shri E P Zakiruddin. Addressing on the occasion, he said that the main objective of organizing this workshop is to apprise the staffs about the importance of Official Language Policy and activation of Unicode in computer for ease of Hindi typing. He urged all the participating employees to take full advantage of this workshop and to maximise usage of Hindi in their day to day Official works.

Port Blair, Mar. 5: To spread the awareness among the public on ‘World Obesity Day’ a morning Yoga Session was organized at Jogger’s Park, Port Blair from 5 AM to 6 AM today by AYUSH Wing of DHS and A&N State AYUSH Society. About 25 participants enthusiastically took part in this event. Asana and Meditation, Sukshmavyayam and Pranayama were demonstrated by the Yoga Instructors of AYUSH.

Port Blair, March 4: The Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has demanded construction of a modern bus terminus in Diglipur Bazaar area.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, Andaman & Nicobar Administration, he emphasized the pressing need for adequate transportation infrastructure to serve the significant population of Diglipur.
